OZI BEACH WEAR | What I wore in Limbe

Although it has been 3 weeks since I returned from my holidays in Cameroon, it sometimes feel as though it has only been a week. Going through the pictures I took whilst on vacation makes it very easy to reminisce about that time. From spending my time with my family (got to see my granddad who was 100 years old) to enjoying the black beaches of Cameroon in Limbe, I only wish I could go back in time.

My holidays would not have been complete without making a quick stop at Cameroon’s No. 1 Makeup artist and up coming fashion designer Anyi from OZI International. Now, if you follow the Cameroon entertainment industry then you must have seen some of her one-of-a-kind pieces; they have been featured in music videos such as Deranger by Mani Bella (ft Tenor) and Dinguo by Blanche Bailly as well as Cameroonian artists like Daphne and Stephanie Tum. I mean I can go through the plethora of entertainers who have worn her designs but then we would be here for a long time. πŸ™‚

So my personal style is not particularly vibrant but darling when it comes to the beach, call me the colour queen. I was very excited when I realised that OZI International also had beach wear pieces; it pretty much made my day and was right before my trip to Limbe. Prior to heading to OZI’s shop, I wasn’t in the market for a new bikini or beach cover up, but once I saw the collection, I knew that my wardrobe could do with the addition. It’s called the OZI effect, her pieces literally make you feel as though you are missing something (and for good reason too) πŸ™‚

The Bikini set

I am absolutely in love with this Bikini set, it compliments my skin tone effortlessly. The pattern, style and cut is just perfect and as a bonus, it is quite soft to the touch. The bikini top is made from two dissimilar fabrics that mesh together so well.

The beach cover up

What I covet the most about this piece is its versatility, I have seen other fashion enthusiasts wear it in different ways; whether you opt to pair it with leggings, a miniskirt underneath or use it as a beach cover up, you can hardly be disappointed with the outcome. The straps are adjustable and can be worn off-the-shoulder to create a more trendy look. The outfit is see through as a result of its geometric design, but my favourite bit is the added grid-like design made from the colourful fabric. Definitely a head turner if you ask me.

The Ankara Bangles

Sometimes a picture does not tell the whole story and I find myself trying to describe what I how amazing a clothing item or accessory is. However, that is not the case this time around, the picture says it all. (Side note– after my sister saw these bangles, she ended up purchasing 10 of them πŸ˜€ )
